Notes:
bullet Both Jacob and Hannah were born in Kings Somborne.
bullet Thomas died of a fever aged 10 weeks,  according to the parish register.
bullet John died in the Stockbridge Union Workhouse,Hampshire.
bullet The name Annolee is unusual and since there is a blot over part of the name in the register, it may not be entirely correct i.e. it could be Annelee. Either way it is unusual as the Needle family appears to choose its Christian (Given) names from a very small pool.
bulletUnusually Charlotte was baptised nine weeks three days after she was born, as opposed to the more normal week or two.

1841 Census - St Mary's Parish, Leckford, Hampshire, England
Residence Name Age Profession or Occupation Where Born
Leckford Jacob Needle 60 Ag Lab Leckford
- Hannah Needle 60 - Leckford
- George Needle 30 Ag Lab Leckford
- Jacob Needle 25 Ag Lab Leckford
- Henry Needle 20 Ag Lab Leckford
Notes - 1841 Census - Leckford: The 1841 census gives very little detail  compared to later ones, but does show how much people relied on farming jobs for employment. Whilst the three youngest sons are still at home the two youngest daughters have left, so are they now married?
